ReCam is made by Travis Boatman ("I", "me"). This policy covers the ReCam apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
The short version: ReCam does not collect, store or sell your personal data.
ReCam sends live video from your iPhone or iPad directly to the Mac you paired it with, over your local network or a USB cable. The connection is encrypted. Video is not recorded by ReCam and is never sent to me or to any server. When you pick ReCam as the camera in another app (for example a video-calling app), that app receives the video and handles it under its own privacy policy.
To pair your devices, ReCam creates security keys and stores them, along with your settings, on your devices only (in the Keychain and app settings). You can remove a paired device at any time with Forget.
ReCam asks for camera access to capture video, local network access to find and connect to your paired device, and on Mac, approval to install its camera extension. ReCam does not use your microphone, photos, contacts or location.
ReCam Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; I do not receive your payment details.
ReCam contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and does not track you across apps or websites.
ReCam is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
